"I just want you to know, there are worlds out there, safe in the sky because of her. That there are people living in the light, and singing songs of Donna Noble. A thousand, million light years away. They will never forget her, while she can never remember. But for one moment... one shining moment... she was the most important woman in the whole wide universe."

Home Planet:Gallifrey

History: The Doctor is a Time Lord, an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey, who travels time and space in an internally vast time machine called the TARDIS — Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space. This is an acronym the Doctor's granddaughter, Susan, claims to have invented. Although the TARDIS once had the ability to disguise itself according to its environment, after landing in 1963 London its facade became stuck in the form of a British police box because of a malfunctioning chameleon circuit. It has remained in that shape ever since. Over the course of the series the Doctor occasionally attempts to fix the circuit, most notably in Logopolis and Attack of the Cybermen (in the latter turning the TARDIS exterior into a pipe organ, among other incongruous shapes), but eventually gives up the effort out of fondness for the police box shape. In "Journey's End", Donna Noble comments on how she can fix it, but never finishes the explanation. The discrepancy between the small exterior of the ship and its vast interior is explained by its dimensionally transcendental nature, whereby the ship's interior and exterior dimensions exist independently of each other.

The Doctor explores the universe at random, using his extensive knowledge of science, technology and history (from his perspective) to avert whatever crises he encounters. The imprecise nature of his travels is initially attributed to the age and unreliability of the TARDIS's navigation system. However, after his trial and restriction to late twentieth century Earth, he demonstrates the ability to reach a destination of his own choosing more often than not. In "Journey's End", the Doctor states that the reason for the previous bumpy navigation was that the TARDIS is meant to have six pilots. The Doctor generally travels with one or more companions. Most of these make a conscious decision to travel with him, but others, especially early in the series, are accidental passengers.

The Doctor's childhood

Little is known about the Doctor's childhood. During "The Girl in the Fireplace", Madame de Pompadour "saw" memories of his childhood during a telepathic session between the two and commented that it was "so lonely". However, when asked if he has a brother in "Smith and Jones", the Doctor simply replied "not anymore." He was also once good friends with the Master. In the same episode, he mentioned "playing with Röntgen blocks in the nursery." In "The Time Monster", the Doctor says he grew up in a house on the side of a mountain, and talks about a hermit who lived under a tree behind the house and inspired the Doctor when he was depressed. In the BBC Novel, The Nightmare of Black Island, the Doctor stated his favourite childhood story was Moxx In Socks. The Doctor, then played by Jon Pertwee (planet of the spiders) met up with one of his teachers who was possibly the hermit mentioned. In the 1996 television movie, he says he remembers watching a meteor shower with his father. In "The Sound of Drums" (2007), the Doctor describes a Time Lord Academy initiation ceremony where, at the age of eight, Time Lord children are made to look into the Untempered Schism, a gap in space and time where they could view the time vortex. Some are inspired, some go mad (as he suggests happened to his nemesis the Master), and some run away. When asked which he was, he replies, "Oh, the one that ran away...I never stopped!"

Family

References to the Doctor's family are rare in the series. During the first two seasons he travelled with his granddaughter, Susan Foreman, and as noted above he apparently once had a brother. During his second incarnation when asked about his family, the Doctor says his memories of them are still alive (The Tomb of the Cybermen). In The Curse of Fenric, when asked if he has any family, the Seventh Doctor replies that he doesn't know, indirectly hinting that an unspecified fate may have befallen them. In "Fear Her" the Tenth Doctor mentions to Rose that he "was a dad once", but then quickly changes the subject; he makes the same admission to Donna in "The Doctor's Daughter" when she inaccurately assumes that he has "Dad-shock". He later clarifies in the same episode that he had been a father, but that that was lost to him during the Time-war. In "The Empty Child", when Dr. Constantine says to him "before this war began, I was a father and a grandfather. Now I'm neither. But I'm still a doctor." he simply replies, "Yeah. I know the feeling." He mentions his father in the 1996 Doctor Who telefilm, where he also indicates his mother was human (see "Continuity curiosities" below). In "The Doctor's Daughter", the Doctor had his genetic information stolen and used to create a female soldier and comes to refer to the result, a young woman named Jenny (played by Georgia Moffett, real world daughter of Peter Davison), as his daughter (she in turn knows him as her father). In the episode "Blink", the Doctor claims that he never was good at weddings, especially his own. By the end of the episode "Journey's End" a half-human Doctor is created from his severed hand, when the Tenth Doctor transfers his regeneration energy into the hand to prevent a full regeneration of his own body. Both Doctors share the same memories up until that point but the half-human Doctor also has elements of Donna Noble's personality and her DNA as a result of her touching the hand, causing the mass regeneration to occur.

In the beginning

The episode title screen of the very first episode of Doctor Who, broadcast 23 November 1963.

The character of the Doctor was created by the BBC's Head of Drama Sydney Newman.[5] The first format document for the series that was to become Doctor Who — then provisionally titled The Troubleshooters — was written up in March 1963 by C. E. Webber, a BBC staff writer who had been brought in to help develop the project. Webber's document contained a main character described as "The maturer man, 35–40, with some 'character twist'." However, Newman was not keen on this idea and — along with several other changes to Webber's initial format — created an alternative lead character named "Dr Who": a crotchety older man piloting a stolen time machine, on the run from his own far future world. No written record of Newman's conveyance of these ideas — believed to have taken place in April 1963 — exists, and the character of "Dr Who" first begins appearing in existing documentation from May of that year.

The character was first portrayed by William Hartnell in 1963. When, after three years, Hartnell left the series due to ill health, the role was handed over to respected character actor Patrick Troughton. To date, official television productions have depicted ten distinct incarnations of the Doctor (due to Hartnell's death in 1975, actor Richard Hurndall substituted in his role as the First Doctor in 1983's The Five Doctors, resulting in a technical total of eleven actors). Of those, the longest-lasting incarnation is the Fourth Doctor, as played by Tom Baker. Currently, the Tenth Doctor is portrayed by David Tennant.

At the series' beginning, nothing at all is known of the Doctor: not even his name, the actual form of which remains a mystery. In the very first serial, An Unearthly Child, two teachers from Coal Hill School in London, Barbara Wright and Ian Chesterton, become intrigued by one of their students, Susan Foreman, who exhibits high intelligence and unusually advanced knowledge. Trailing her to a junkyard at 76 Totter's Lane, they encounter a strange old man and hear Susan's voice coming from inside what appears to be a police box. Pushing their way inside, the two find that the exterior is actually camouflage for the dimensionally transcendental interior of the TARDIS. The old man, whom Susan calls "Grandfather", subsequently kidnaps Barbara and Ian to prevent them from telling anyone about the existence of the ship, taking them on an adventure in time and space.

Becoming "involved"

The Doctor is an adventurer and scientist with a strong moral sense. He usually solves problems with his wits rather than with force, and is more likely to wield a sonic screwdriver than a gun; although he has been seen to use weapons as a last resort. According to the alien villain Chedaki in the episode The Android Invasion, "his long association with libertarian causes" shows that "his entire history is one of opposition to conquest."

As a time traveller, the Doctor has been present at or directly involved in countless major historical events on the planet Earth and elsewhere — sometimes more than once. In the 2005 series premiere, "Rose", it is revealed that the Ninth Doctor was instrumental in preventing a family from boarding the Titanic prior to her fateful voyage. In "The End of the World", the Doctor claimed to have been on board and survived the Titanic's sinking to find himself 'clinging to an iceberg.' The Fourth Doctor also mentioned this event in Robot and The Invasion of Time, where he claims the sinking was not his fault.

Many historical figures on Earth have also encountered the Doctor. In City of Death it is revealed that the Doctor has met Leonardo da Vinci and William Shakespeare (whom he re-met in "The Shakespeare Code"), and that the first folio of the latter's Hamlet was transcribed by the Doctor himself (City of Death). He has also met a young H. G. Wells (Timelash), Albert Einstein (Time and the Rani), Mao Tse Tung (The Mind of Evil), Richard the Lionheart (The Crusade), Wyatt Earp (The Gunfighters) and Marco Polo (Marco Polo). More recently, the Doctor has shared adventures with Charles thingyens ("The Unquiet Dead"), Agatha Christie ("The Unicorn and the Wasp"), Queen Victoria ("Tooth and Claw"), and Madame de Pompadour ("The Girl in the Fireplace"). A photograph seen in the 2005 series shows that the Ninth Doctor witnessed the death of US president John F. Kennedy. In the episode ("Gridlock") after handing his coat to Brannigan and his wife he asks them to take care of it saying "Janis Joplin gave me that coat."

It is this penchant for becoming "involved" with the universe — in direct violation of official Time Lord policy — that has caused the Doctor to be labelled a renegade by the Time Lords. Most of the time, however, his actions are tolerated, especially given that he has saved not just Gallifrey but also the universe several times over. The Time Lords are also partial to sending him on missions when deniability or expendability is needed. The Doctor's standing in Time Lord society has waxed and waned over the years, from being a hunted man to being appointed Lord President of the High Council. He does not assume the office for very long, and is eventually removed from it in his absence.

Physiology

Although Time Lords resemble humans, their physiology differs in some key respects. For example, like other members of his race, the Doctor has two hearts (binary vascular system), a "respiratory bypass system" that allows him to go without air, an internal body temperature of 15–16 degrees Celsius (60 degrees Fahrenheit)[7] and he occasionally exhibits a super-human level of stamina, and the ability to absorb, withstand, and expel large amounts of certain types of radiation (the Tenth Doctor claimed they used to play with Röntgen bricks in the nursery, after absorbing the radiation from an x-ray of significantly magnified power). Additionally, he has shown a resistance to temporal effects and has demonstrated a telepathic ability, similar to the Vulcan mind meld portrayed in Star Trek, albeit to a limited degree. In "The Fires of Pompeii" the Doctor reveals that he is able to perceive the fabric of time, discerning "fixed points" and "points in flux", as well as all past, present and possible future events. The Doctor also exhibits some weaknesses uncommon to humans. For example, in The Mind of Evil (1971) he claimed that a tablet of aspirin could kill him.

In his final serial, the Second Doctor states that Time Lords can live forever, "barring accidents." When "accidents" do occur, Time Lords can usually regenerate into a new body. However, it is stated in The Deadly Assassin that Time Lords can only regenerate a total of twelve times, giving a theoretical final total of thirteen incarnations. Regeneration is apparently optional, in "Last of the Time Lords" the Master refuses to regenerate despite the Tenth Doctor's pleading.

Doctor who?

The Doctor's calling card (from Remembrance of the Daleks)

In the first episode, Barbara addresses the Doctor as "Doctor Foreman", as this is the surname the Doctor's granddaughter Susan goes by, and the junkyard in which they find him bears the sign "I.M. Foreman". When addressed by Ian with this name in the next episode, the Doctor responds, "Eh? Doctor who? What's he talking about?" Later, when he realises that "Foreman" is not the Doctor's name, Ian asks Barbara, "Who is he? Doctor who?" (In an ultimately-unused idea from documents written at the series' inception, Barbara and Ian would have subsequently referred to the Doctor as 'Dr. Who', given their not knowing his real given name.)

Similarly, in the 2005 series premiere "Rose", when asked his name, the Doctor replies, "Just 'The Doctor'." New companion Rose Tyler later finds a website devoted to the Doctor on the Internet, run by a conspiracy theorist who has been tracking the Ninth Doctor's appearances throughout history, carrying the title "DOCTOR WHO?" (see Doctor Who tie-in websites). The BBC launched a "real" version of this website with the idea that it is run by Mickey Smith, Rose's boyfriend (having taken over the site following the death of its originator).

In "The Empty Child" (2005), for want of a better name Rose introduces the Doctor to Jack Harkness as "Mr. Spock". (According to the DVD commentary for this episode, the Doctor was originally to have responded "I'd rather have 'Doctor Who' than Star Trek".)

Although listed in the on-screen credits for nearly twenty years as "Doctor Who" or "Dr Who", the Doctor is never really called by that name in the series, except in a tongue-in-cheek manner; for example, in The Five Doctors when one character refers to him as "the Doctor", another character asks, "Who?" The only real exception is the computer WOTAN in the serial The War Machines, which commands that "Doctor Who is required." The Third Doctor's car, dubbed "Bessie", carried the licence plate WHO 1, the only ongoing reference to the "Doctor Who" enigma in the original series. The Third Doctor also later drove an outlandish vehicle called the "Whomobile" in publicity materials, but it is never referred to as such in the series, being simply known as "the Doctor's car" or "my car", as the Doctor puts it. The name "Doctor Who" is also used in the title of the serial Doctor Who and the Silurians, but this was a captioning mistake and not an in-story mention. The only other time this occurs is in the title of Episode 5 of The Chase: "The Death of Doctor Who".

In the Third Doctor serial The Dæmons the Doctor is briefly given the alias of the Great Wizard Qui Quae Quod. This is actually the masculine, feminine and neuter forms of the relative pronoun "who" in the Latin language.

In the Fourth Doctor serial "The Key to Time" the Doctor runs into a former class mate of his named Drax. Drax, refers to the Doctor several times as "Thete", to which the Doctor replies "It's the Doctor." "Thete" is then revealed to be short for Theta Sigma, the Doctor's nickname at Prydon Academy on Gallifrey, as also referenced in "The Happiness Patrol".

In "The Christmas Invasion", the newly regenerated Doctor stumbles out of the TARDIS in a confused state in front of Jackie Tyler and Mickey. When Rose emerges from the TARDIS, she tells them that he is the Doctor, to which a confused Jackie replies "What do you mean that's the Doctor? Doctor Who?". In "The Girl in the Fireplace" (2006), Madame de Pompadour reads the Doctor's mind and remarks about his name, "Doctor who? It's more than just a secret, isn't it?" In the podcast commentary on the BBC website, writer Steven Moffat suggests that, as the Doctor does not tell even his closest companions his name, there must be a "dreadful secret" about it. Within the same commentary, Moffat and actor Noel Clarke jokingly suggest his name to be "Curtis". Ironically, according to the in-vision commentary on the DVD release, David Tennant had to inform actress Sophia Myles (who played Madame de Pompadour) that she was not, in fact, revealing the Doctor's surname as she believed was the intent of the dialogue. In "The Shakespeare Code", the Carrionite Lilith, unable to discover his true name, remarks, "Why would a man hide his title in such despair?" A psychically-inspired human in "The Fires of Pompeii" remarks that his name Doctor is "false" and that his "true name" is in fact "hidden". In Moffat's "Forest of the Dead", the character River Song reveals she knows the Doctor in his future, and it is implied that they shared a very intimate relationship. In order to gain his trust, she whispers something—inaudible to the audience—into his ear, which he later reveals was his real name. The Doctor states that there is "only one reason" he would reveal his name and that there is "only one time [he] could."

Doctor Who spin-off media, which are of uncertain canonicity, have suggested that the character uses the name "the Doctor" because his actual name is impossible for humans to pronounce.[8] This is also repeated by companion Peri Brown in the radio serial Slipback. This is unlikely to be true, since River Song whispers it to him in "Forest of the Dead." The Faction Paradox encyclopedia The Book of the War, which is of dubious canonicity, states that all renegades from the Homeworld/Gallifrey abandon their names to symbolise how they leave their culture.

The character played by Peter Cushing in the films Dr. Who and the Daleks and Daleks - Invasion Earth 2150 AD referred to himself as "Dr. Who". However, these films are not considered part of the canon as they were based upon already-televised adventures featuring William Hartnell and made considerable alterations to the characters of the Doctor and his companions.

Alias 'The Doctor'

Quite apart from his name, why the Doctor uses the title of "The Doctor" has never been fully explained on screen. The Doctor, at first, said that he was not a medical doctor, often referring to himself as a scientist or an engineer. However he does occasionally show medical knowledge and has stated that he studied under Joseph Lister and Joseph Bell on separate occasions. In The Moonbase, the Second Doctor mentions that he studied for a medical degree in Glasgow during the 19th Century. He has also been mocked by his fellow Time Lords for adhering to such a "lowly" title as "Doctor", although in The Armageddon Factor he tells Drax that he achieved his doctorate, indicating it was at least a somewhat respectable title. In "The Girl in the Fireplace", he draws an analogy between the title and Madame de Pompadour's. In "The Sound Of Drums", the Master remarks to the Doctor that they both chose their names, and that it was sanctimonious of the Doctor to identify himself as "the man who makes people better", as well as the fact that one of the Master's assistants calls him a doctor of "everything". The Fourth Doctor states that his companion, Harry Sullivan, is a Doctor of medicine, while he is "a doctor of many things" (Revenge of the Cybermen), but on another occasion states that his doctorate is only honorary.

The Telos novella Frayed by Tara Samms (which takes place prior to "An Unearthly Child") has the First Doctor being given that title by the staff of a besieged human medical facility on the planet Iwa, suggesting at the end that the Doctor liked the official title so much that he adopted it. However, this does not quite explain why the Time Lords use the same title in addressing him. The same story also has Jill, a young girl living in the facility, naming the Doctor's granddaughter "Susan" after Jill's mother. The canonicity of all non-television sources is uncertain.

To make up for his lack of a practical name, the Doctor often relies upon convenient pseudonyms. In The Gunfighters, the First Doctor uses the alias Dr. Caligari. In The Highlanders the Second Doctor assumes the name of "Doctor von Wer" (a German approximation of "Doctor Who"), and signs himself as "Dr. W" in The Underwater Menace. In The Wheel in Space, his companion Jamie McCrimmon, reading the name off some medical equipment, tells the crew of the Wheel that the Doctor's name is "John Smith". The Doctor subsequently adopts this alias several times over the course of the series, often prefixing the title "Doctor" to it. This name is particularly prominent during his third incarnation when, as scientific advisor to UNIT, he gives it to Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart to be put on his official credentials. The Eighth Doctor's companion Grace briefly refers to him by the alias "Dr Bowman" in the 1996 Doctor Who television movie.

In the audio adventure The Sirens of Time when the 5th Doctor is asked his name, he states: "I'm the Doctor." To which, he's answered: "Doctor? That's a profession, not a name." The Doctor is then quoted as saying: "It's all I have."

In "New Earth", it is implied that the Doctor is part of the prophecy of the Face of Boe and is referred to as "The Lonely God". In "Tooth and Claw", having landed in Scotland, the Tenth Doctor introduces himself as "Dr James McCrimmon" from the township of Balamory, referencing the Second Doctor's companion Jamie. Later in that episode, the Doctor is knighted by Queen Victoria as "Sir Doctor of TARDIS."

To his greatest enemies, the Daleks, the Doctor is known as the Ka Faraq Gatri, the "Bringer of Darkness", "Destroyer of Worlds" or "The Oncoming Storm". This is first mentioned in the novelisation of Remembrance of the Daleks by Ben Aaronovitch and subsequently taken up in the spin-off media, particularly the Virgin New Adventures books and the Doctor Who Magazine comic strip. In "The Parting of the Ways", the Doctor claims that the Daleks call him "The Oncoming Storm" — this name is used by the Draconians (whose word for it is "Karshtakavaar") to refer to the Doctor in the Virgin New Adventures novel Love and War by Paul Cornell.

The series has also occasionally toyed with the Doctor's identity (or lack thereof). In the first part of The Mysterious Planet, the Doctor suggests writing a thesis on "Ancient Life on Ravolox, by Doctor...", but is interrupted by Peri. In The Armageddon Factor, the Time Lord Drax addresses the Fourth Doctor as "Thete", short for "Theta Sigma". Later, in The Happiness Patrol, this was clarified as a nickname from the Doctor's University days; he is called by this name again in the Paul Cornell novel Goth Opera. In Remembrance of the Daleks the Seventh Doctor produces a calling card with a series of pseudo-Greek letters inscribed on it (as well as a stylised question mark). This may be a reference to Terrance thingys' and Malcolm Hulke's book The Making of Doctor Who (1972), which claims that the Doctor's true name is a string of Greek and mathematical symbols.

The question mark motif was common throughout the eighties, in part as a branding attempt. Beginning with season eighteen, the Fourth through Seventh Doctors all sported costumes with a red question mark motif (usually on the shirt collars, except for the Seventh Doctor — it appeared on his pullover and in the shape of his umbrella handle). In the 1978 serial The Invasion of Time, the Fourth Doctor is asked to sign a document; although the signature itself is not directly seen on screen, his hand movements clearly indicate that he signs it with a question mark. A similar scene occurs with the Seventh Doctor in Remembrance of the Daleks.

It was mentioned by Tom Baker, the Fourth Doctor, during an interview with The Age in 2003, that the Doctor is called so because he is "a doctor of time and relative dimension in space Apart from being called a doctor of the TARDIS, the Doctor has also been referred to as just a "doctor of time travel".

The Ninth Doctor regenerates into the Tenth Doctor due to cellular damage caused by absorbing the energies of the time vortex at the climax of "The Parting of the Ways". In the Children in Need mini-episode, the Doctor initially exhibits stable behaviour as he introduces his new form to Rose Tyler, showing particular interest in his appearance, but soon begins acting erratically and says that his regeneration has "gone wrong". He remains in a delirious or comatose state through most of the events of "The Christmas Invasion" until his regeneration is settled through absorbing the free radicals and tannin from some hot tea that had dripped onto a power source inside the TARDIS. He then saves the Earth from invasion by defeating the leader of the alien Sycorax using a satsuma. The Doctor's right hand is severed in the fight, although he regenerates a new one since his regeneration cycle was not fully completed.

The Tenth Doctor and Rose go on to rescue Queen Victoria from a werewolf. The Doctor is knighted as "Sir Doctor of TARDIS" as a reward—a title he later uses during his first journey with Martha Jones—although Victoria banishes them from the British Empire and sets up the Torchwood Institute to defend Britain from paranormal threats and wait for the Doctor's return. He finally encounters the Institute in "Army of Ghosts".

In "The Girl in the Fireplace", he develops romantic feelings for Madame de Pompadour while attempting to discover why clockwork androids on a 51st Century spaceship are stalking her throughout her life. Ultimately, he is unable to take her with him as the last, asynchronous time window returns him to her after her death.

In "The Doctor's Daughter", the TARDIS takes the Doctor, Martha, and Donna Noble to the planet Messaline in an unspecified time period. Armed human colonists forcefully extrapolate the Doctor's DNA and create a young female soldier for their army. She later chooses the name "Jenny", as suggested by Donna, alluding to her status as a "generated anomaly". Despite being reminded of the loss of his family and his former status as a parent, the Doctor eventually accepts her as his 'daughter', only to be separated from her by the end of the episode after he believes her to have died, not knowing that she later returned to life.

The Tenth Doctor has used his psychic abilities more often on screen than his previous incarnations. He continues to use the Ninth Doctor's psychic paper, but has also been seen using telepathic techniques several times (for instance, in "The Girl in the Fireplace" and "The Shakespeare Code"). In "Last of the Time Lords", he uses his telepathic skills over a year to tap into the Archangel satellite network to rejuvenate himself with humanity's belief in him. He is then able to manipulate the combined energy apparently created by that belief, using it alternately as a shield and as a weapon, in the form of telekinesis.

In "Voyage of the d**ned" the Tenth Doctor states that he is 903 years old, suggesting he gets one year older every series. The Tenth Doctor may technically be, however, 913 years old due to taking ten years off of his life.

In "The Stolen Earth" the Tenth Doctor is shot by a Dalek while running toward Rose. Captain Jack and Rose bring the Doctor into the TARDIS where he begins the regeneration process. During the process, he directs the regeneration energy towards his previously severed hand that is connected to the TARDIS, keeping the Doctor in the same form. Later Donna Noble inadvertently causes a "human biological metacrisis" by touching the severed hand, which causes a part human, part Time Lord version of the Doctor to be created. Whether he has used up one of his regenerations is not explored; in Doctor Who Confidential for this episode, Tennant says he thinks this is up to future writers. At the end of the series' events he is alone in the TARDIS; in the following special episode, "Music of the Spheres", his musical talent is revealed, when he has taken his mind off his loneliness by composing an "Ode to the Universe".

Companions

The Tenth Doctor gained Rose Tyler (played by Billie Piper) as his companion, who left in "Doomsday", the final episode of the 2006 series, seemingly stranded forever on a parallel world. At the end of the same episode, a bride named Donna Noble, played by Catherine Tate, appeared in the TARDIS as a result of her Huon particle intake, and appeared in the 2006 Christmas special, "The Runaway Bride". In the episode's dénouement, she refused his offer of full-time companionship, instead suggesting he find someone else. She did, however, return as the full time companion for Series 4. Rose also returns for the three final episodes in Series 4, after making three foreshadowing appearances throughout the series, none of which were witnessed by the Doctor. After a hectic reunion in the series finale "Journey's End", Rose's story appears to end when she is left to live on her parallel world with a partially-human tenth Doctor, a man with all his memories and his personality who will age and live and die as a normal human without ever regenerating. Donna's tenure with the Doctor ends at the same time—in creating the second regenerated Doctor from his severed hand, she is imbued with Time Lord knowledge which becomes too much for her human brain to survive with. Ultimately, the Doctor is forced to wipe her memory of him and leave her be as she was before she ever met him.

Rose's boyfriend, Mickey Smith (Noel Clarke), a recurring character from the previous season, joined the TARDIS crew as a regular companion in "School Reunion". Mickey departed the TARDIS in "The Age of Steel", replacing his deceased counterpart on a parallel Earth. He returned and departed for good in the 2006 two-part series finale, "Army of Ghosts" and "Doomsday", and again for the 2008 finale "Journey's End", where having broken up with Rose and seen his parallel grandmother die on a parallel Earth, is content to return to his homeworld and parts ways with the Doctor, this time alongside Martha and Jack.

Rose's mother, Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri), was also a recurring character in the first two series, and played a major role in several episodes, notably "The Parting of the Ways", "The Christmas Invasion" and "Love & Monsters", finally travelling in the TARDIS by accident in "Army of Ghosts". Though she travelled in the TARDIS with the Doctor she is not necessarily considered a companion. She does however appear alongside Mickey in "Journey's End", and is brought before Davros as one of the Doctor's "children of time", although is not treated as a companion by the Doctor in the episode. She returns to the parallel world with Rose and the Doctor clone in the dénouement.

In series three the Doctor was joined by a new companion called Martha Jones, played by Freema Agyeman. Agyeman previously played Adeola in "Army of Ghosts", a character who died during the course of the episode, later revealed to be Martha's cousin. Martha joins the Doctor after they save each other's lives during a Plasmavore attack, and the Doctor offers her a single trip in the TARDIS by way of thanks. She continues as his companion following a trip to the Globe Theatre, and was made an "official" companion—by receiving a key to the TARDIS—in "42". Martha returns to Earth to finish her medical training in "Last of the Time Lords", but leaves her superphone with the Doctor so she can call him if she wants to come back, which she did in two episodes of the fourth series; requiring the Doctor's help on Earth. Martha, The Doctor and Donna proceeded to battle classic series monsters, the Sontarans. She was accidentally brought to Messaline along with the Doctor and Donna in the episode, "The Doctor's Daughter", when the TARDIS piloted itself. Martha returned for the two-part series finale ("The Stolen Earth" and "Journey's End"), where, after the story's events, she stayed on Earth with Jack and Mickey Smith. An "in-between" guest stint in the Doctor Who spin-off series Torchwood revealed that Martha had qualified as a doctor and now works for the Doctor's former employers, UNIT.

Previous companion "Captain" Jack Harkness was originally to have rejoined the TARDIS crew in the 2006 series. However, this plan was abandoned, in part because of Harkness' role in Torchwood. It was initially announced that there would be no crossovers between the two series, but Harkness returned to Doctor Who in "Utopia" for the final three episodes of the 2007 series. In "Last of the Time Lords", the Doctor re-offers Jack full-time companionship but the events of the episode cause Jack to realise that his friends in Cardiff need him, declining the offer he had pined for.

The Doctor was also reunited with previous companions Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 (Mark III) in "School Reunion", with Sarah Jane returning with full companion status in the final two episodes of series four.[14] The K-9 model given to Sarah Jane at the conclusion of "School Reunion" becomes a close ally of Sarah Jane's, and assists her and the Doctor in "Journey's End" from a distance.

Although she is not considered an official companion, the character of Sally Sparrow in the 2007 episode "Blink" fulfils many of the functions of a companion in this episode, in which she is "recruited" by the Doctor to rescue him from 1969; the episode focuses on her as she follows clues left for her by the Doctor and several allies throughout time, before she actually meets the Doctor at the story's conclusion. The episode "The Girl in the Fireplace" has the Doctor offering Madame de Pompadour the chance to become a companion (if briefly), but circumstances render this impossible and she dies before being able to take him up on the offer. After Martha's departure, pop star Kylie Minogue appeared in the 2007 Christmas special, "Voyage of the d**ned", playing a character named Astrid Peth, a "one-off companion" for the episode. Both she, and later, Jenny, the Doctor's "daughter" by cloning, accept offers of companionship from him only for circumstances to prevent them from doing so.

In the 2008 series episodes "Silence in the Library" and "Forest of the Dead", the Doctor encounters Professor River Song, a 51st-century archaeologist he will apparently meet in the future and become dear to him, presumably while he is still in his tenth incarnation. It is never explicitly stated that she was a companion, but she states that they travelled together often and she gained his complete trust, to the point that she would eventually know the Doctor's true name.

The Tenth Doctor is the first since the Second Doctor to actually say "goodbye" to a companion (specifically, Sarah Jane) rather than simply leaving, or giving some platitude when a companion leaves of their own accord. He has made many mentions of Rose Tyler since her departure to Martha Jones and Donna Noble (and has had references of her made to him), although in past incarnations, he has also made the occasional repeated reference to the likes of his granddaughter Susan and Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. At one point, he used "Doctor James McCrimmon" as an alias, another reference to a previous companion. The finale episode "Journey's End" sees the Doctor bidding farewell to all six companions who assisted him in that episode—Jack, Martha, Mickey, Sarah Jane, Rose and Donna, as well as Jackie and his part-human clone.

The Doctor turned to look at Rose, he smiled at her. "Rose, you ready? it is so exciting. We are gonna see your favorite writer who passed away not long before you were born. Isn't that great?" he said to her all excited and all. The Doctor then changed cloths and waited for Rose to do the same before walking out of the tradis. He has a smile on his face, all excited and a bit childish but in a good way though.

He loved Rose vey much and was very happy that they were together, she meant a lot to him no matter what and he hoped that she knew that. He then put his hands on her cheeks and kissed her forehead excitedly. "You make me happy, i can't remember when i been that happy before other then treveling with Martha and i thank you for that, Rose Taylor" he said then he lead her out of the tradis to trevel around the time they were in.

The doctor still thought it wasn't a good idea for Rose to be near him but he said nothing, knowing that she wouldn't listen to him anyways. As soon as they wnt out and started looking around a frown showed up on his face as soon as they relized it wasn't the year they were trying to get. "I am so sorry Rose, i was sure it was the right year. Forgive me. Oh well lets see what this year has to offer us" he said and a smile showed up again on his face.

When he noticed she giggled and din't mind he giggled too and didn't mind that himself, even so he still felt bad for getting to the wrong year. However even so they were in the wrong year they both knew or at least he knew that an adventure is waiting for them here. As it waited for them in every other place they visited before. Adventure was a plus even if the wrong year, an adventure made everything worth while.

Coleridge Cove, NJ. Home to the Fighting Loggerheads and some of the best beaches in Jersey. But the Cove isn't all about touristy destinations and fine weather. It's also the location of one of Jersey's newest, biggest reform schools: Red Sky Academy. Students with shady pasts and rap sheets a mile long have been sent to Red Sky to "reform". As a larger number of students have been sent in as the months go by, the people of Coleridge show a greater amount of disdain and paranoia.

Any act of vandalism, crime, or bad behavior is immediately suspected to be of the students' doing. Some of this suspicion may be well-founded, but most of it seems to stem from the growing mob mentality that has infected the citizens of the Cove. Even those students who were sent to the academy for no other reason than convenience or their family's financial position have faced scorn from people outside the school.

Teachers and other faculty members working at the academy are either looked at with contempt or pity. The hiring rate of Red Sky Academy has dropped to an astonishing low in the past few months, since few employees are enthusiastic about working in a school with such a bad reputation.

Many consider the academy a dead end, and who knows, maybe it is. But even if that is the case, the dedicated members of staff who run Red Sky Academy have refused to let their idea of second chances die. They opened this school knowing there would be trouble, apathy, and failure in some cases. Nevertheless, the school carries on, and as long as there are students in need of a new chance at life, Red Sky Academy will always keep its doors open.

[Quote]

Outside the government, beyond the police. Fighting for the future on behalf of the human race. The twenty-first century is when everything changes, and Torchwood is ready.

When Torchwood One, London, was destroyed, the bases in Glasgow and Cardiff became independent; working on their own with the occasional collaboration, they managed to scavenge more alien technology than ever before and even stop the threat of invasion once or twice. Torchwood Two in Glasgow expanded, trebling its workforce while Cardiff’s Torchwood Three worked harder than ever before, the team growing more capable with every item they found. But with great success came great loss. For Torchwood One, they had to go through the painfully slow process of gaining permission to rebuild. For Torchwood Two, that meant a fire raging through the office, meaning a total renovation had to be done. And for Torchwood Three, it meant the lives of two of its family-like team.

From the ashes of devastation and loss, Torchwood is rebuilding itself. But the twenty-first century is already here…is Torchwood ready?

canons || rules || apply || advertise

Torchwood One had a hard time getting permission to reopen after the devastation of the infamous Battle of Canary Wharf. However, it is now underway, thanks to the hard work of the new director, and staff are moving back in to Torchwood Tower. Of the twenty-seven people to survive the battle, twenty have jumped at the opportunity to return to work, while five new people have also been recruited. Torchwood One isn’t the super-headquarters it once was, but the director feels that it is gaining the ground it once lost, as well as recovering lost data and files. It will never be as large an organisation as it once was, but Torchwood One is getting there; there are even rumours flying around that it is planning to take away the independence of the smaller branches in Glasgow and Cardiff and be the ultimate headquarters again. However, it is not likely that Torchwoods Two and Three are going to be too happy about this; they like their independence, especially after everything they’ve been through since Torchwood One allowed Cybermen to live on Earth. Despite this, Torchwood One is unperturbed; while it is getting on its feet again, the main mission of the staff working there is to find a loophole that will allow them control again. After all, London is the capital city, therefore it should be the place with the most power, right?

Torchwood Two doesn’t agree. After a fire of unknown causes raged through the small office that serves as a base for Archie and his two subordinates, the team there has worked hard to refurbish the building again. Although it is not particularly plush or upmarket, it serves well for them; they are a small workforce, and therefore do not need great offices to work in. However, they like being independent; Archie had worked below Torchwood One for years and finally gaining the right to be his own boss completely is something that he is not going to give up without a fight. He’ll team up with Torchwood Three in Cardiff if he has to; they might be Welsh, but at least they’re an outpost like he is.

Torchwood Three is still reeling from the shock of losing two of its family members. However, life must go on, and Captain Jack Harkness has asked his two friends from his time-travelling days, Mickey Smith and Martha Jones, to join the team. The Rift is still causing trouble for them at the Hub, but there is a greater problem playing on Torchwood Three’s mind; Torchwood One’s reopening. Not only does the London branch have a different, less friendly, attitude towards any aliens it might pick up, it was their fault that hundreds of people got converted into Cybermen a few years ago; they allowed the creatures into the homes of everyone in London, becoming aides in the invasion, and that is something that Captain Jack finds hard to forgive. There is no way that he is going to relinquish the independence he has for London; his team and the Glaswegians will work together if necessary to make sure that each branch of Torchwood can remain free.

There are even rumours that Torchwood Four, missing for so long, is going to reappear now that there are hostilities between the branches of an organisation that was once united.

For the ordinary people of these three cities, not much has changed. Torchwood is seen out and about more – still under cover as a ‘Special Ops’ branch of the police where necessary – but they know nothing of the rift that has grown between London and the rest. However, trouble is brewing; who knows what might happen.

Dreadful things have come to pass, but life must go on.

The end is where we start from.

Version 2.0

The Plot

Previously on Doctor Who...

[image] .x.[image] .x.[image]

We saved the universe but at a cost. And that cost was him. He destroyed the daleks, he committed Genocide..He was born in battle, through blood, anger and revenge.. Remind you of someone? That's me when we first met, and you made me better. Now you do the same for him.. He needs you.. that's very me.

[image] .x.[image] .x.[image]

I look like him, think like him, same memories, same thoughts, same everything, except I only got one heart. I'm part human...specifically the aging part. I'll grow old and never regenerate. I only got one life.

.x.x.x.[image] .x.x.x.

Left on the beach of the parallel universe, stood Rose and Jackie Tyler, and the New Doctor that was born through the battle against the daleks. The old Doctor returned to his own universe, leaving Rose Tyler to take care of the new one. However, when he left, all wasn’t in order. Here on New Earth, a new battle is rising, with the return of one character that should have stayed dead, The master.

The master was supposed to be dead, the Doctor cremated him himself when he refused to regenerate after being shot. However, an unknown woman swiped his ring, and now he is back, looking for revenge through the new universe, with the Doctor who only has one heart. Gathering enemies of the Time Lords, The master is building an army against him. The Doctor, is ready to fight, his head clouded by his heart, gathering people that he has known such as the members of Torchwood and Sarah Jane Smith.

Will Rose be able to make this New Doctor into what the old was in time to think logically before staring a war across the universe? What does The Master have up his sleeves, and how exactly is he walking the earth for a second time? It’s time to take up arms or cower in fear; for once again, all is not well in the universe of Doctor Who.

Beginner’s Guide

Hello! So you are new to roleplaying via proboards, or just roleplay at all? Well no problem. Just use this guide and it will give you the step by step process so you can begin to roleplay on The Stolen Earth. Just think of it as craft class when you are making those turkeys by drawing a hand print on construction paper.

Step One: Your Account – If you haven’t already made an account, please click here to register. It will give you instructions from there. Just make sure you do not put some fake address, mainly because in order to activate your account, it has to be a real email address.

Step Two: Reading – Yes, I know reading is for nerds, but trust me on this, there are two main things that you want to read up on before moving on to your character. First, You might want to read the plot. The plot for this site is different that most Doctor Who plots, therefore you might want to look that up. Just click here . Second, it is necessary that you read the rules. After all, there might be a surprise in their for your application! To read the rules click here .

Step Three: Your Character - There are three things you need to do to create a character. First, if you are wanting to roleplay a canon character on this site, please click here to see if your character is available. If the character is available, then post a reply to that thread, requesting to reserve your character until you can make a proper character application. Your character will only be reserved for 5 days after which it will become available again, and anyone can take it. Please keep in mind to follow the directions listed on the canon character list. Second, if you are not wanting to make a canon character, please head over to the species information boards to find a little bit more information of the species, by clicking here. If you are already a genius when it comes to the species, since you own two copies of the television series, then you are ready to begin the third step. Finally, you are going to need to make your character application. This shows us that you understand the rules and the plot, as well as give us a little bit more information about your character. To find the application boards, simply click here , find the right application, and find the rules there.

Step Four: Face Claim – This is not really too important, but I would like to stress it none-the-less. The face claim is to ensure no one else is running around with the same pictures as your character. Therefore, to claim the face you used for your character, simply click here and follow the instructions.

Step Five: Roleplaying – Once your character application is accepted, you are permitted to finally roleplay on the site. Have fun on the site!

There are so many interesting species in the wonderful world of Doctor Who. If you would like to play something other than a human or a Time Lord (If you wish to play a Time Lord, you must let an admin know first!), you can find a list of species on this wikipedia website. It would be awesome to have other things than just humans and time lords running around and fighting and such, so keep that in mind, because if it gets too out of hand, I will limit the number of humans and time lords on this site. If I find the time, I will eventually post the list on our site, until then, just use this article to find the species you want.

Thanks,
The Admin

The following is where you can find a detailed list of the planets found in the Doctor Who Universe courtsey of Wikipedia. If you see something that should be added into this thread, just let an admin know. For the time being, just use this site when looking for a planet for your character. I may add a list on our site later on, but just this for now.

 Rules [Please Read!]
« Result #14 on Jan 17, 2009, 7:44pm »

Welcome to The Stolen Earth! Before you can get started, it is advisable to read all of the following rules. Yes, we all hate this part, but by reading the rules we can all have fun instead of having the board in chaos. The following are the rules of this board:

Rule One: We ask that you respect all staff and members of this board. Obviously this includes things like mean comments in the board as well as the C-box. We do not tolerate any sexist, racist, and generally degrading comments on this board. You will not get a warning for this, so if you break this rule, you will automatically be banned.

Rule Two: On the subject of the C-box, please do not put anything in there that can offend any person. It’s just common courtesy people.

Rule Three: I know we all don’t have the best grammar, since our third grade teacher kind of scared us. However, I please ask that you do not put chatspeak in this board. The main reason is because it is annoying to read and everyone will just call you a geek. This also means anything outside your RPG, please place OCC in it. Thank you so very much!

Rule Four: Also, please post in third person. These are your characters and not you, so no “I” “We”, etc. I mean, none of us are demons in real life, at least I don’t think so. Well, that third grade teacher might have been..

Rule Five: We all hate God moders, power players, and mary sues. If you don’t know what this is, then you might be one, so go find a therapist as quickly as possible. If you disobey this rule, you will be shot. If you survive, you will be promptly shot again.

Rule Six: Since everyone has to be at least thirteen to even sign up for this board, I just want to warn everyone ahead of time that I will allow mature content. Just for the sake of others, and so I don’t get complaints of people’s eyes burning by reading your thread, please put “MATURE” in the thread title.

Rule Seven: This is a semi-literate to literate board. So I will ask that each of you post at least a paragraph (five sentences). This isn’t hard people. Yes, we get writers block from time to time, so why don’t you use things like the five senses or what the people think?

Rule Eight: This is really important. Yes, well all know that The Doctor is the last time lord. However, I will allow a limited amount of Time Lords so that way other people can be special too. This will be by audition only so we don't have a bizillion Doctors running around. Oh and the code word is Sonic Screwdriver.

Rule Nine: You may have more than one character, but please create an account for each one. This just makes it easier for all of us, mainly because we are a stupid species and get confused really easily.

Rule Ten: Please do not modify the application template. I like the way it is, so if you change it, I’ll just make your character extremely wussy or something.

Rule Eleven: Do NOT advertise and spam in the c-box. That is what the proper boards are for. Anyone doing this will get my wrath. Yes, that is supposed to sound scary.

Rule Twelve: Please do not ask be staff. This annoys me and no one that is staff annoys me. Get the picture? I only give it to people who are ACTIVE. So please be active, and I will love you forever!

Rule Thirteen: Please use real people for your images. I don’t understand why people put anime pictures in them, seeing that this isn’t an anime RPG.

Rule Fourteen: This is only one TARDIS, and no other variations of it can or will exist. Sorry, it is just the way it is.

The Doctor, is ready to fight, his head clouded by his heart.

 Plot Notes
« Result #16 on Jan 17, 2009, 7:33pm »

The following are some key points that deal with the plot. Since this is a plot that I basically made up, this will help you out so you won't be as confused. Please keep in mind that it isn't set in stone because I want people to help create the plot, these are just to help fill in the blanks:

  • As far as this plot is concerned for the time being, The original Doctor has gone missing.

  • The TARDIS has retreated to the new Doctor for his own use through out the new universe.

  • The new Doctor has only one heart, he cannot regenerate, and has the heart of the old Doctor but doesn't really think like him in context that he embraces battle than trying to solve it peacefully. However, Rose is trying to change this.

  • The Master is alive once more due to the woman who had stolen his ring. He still hears the drums in his head.

  • There are no daleks for the time being. I may change this in the future.

  • There can be the presence of time lords since this is a parallel universe, however, there are few in numbers, and I WILL limit these.

More notes will be added within time, and if there is anything that I should add, just PM me.

Thanks,
Admin

Hyacinth is the only town left in the world, and only three species inhabit it:
    Lycan,
Vampire, and of course, their pray,
    the Human.

But this world isn't big enough for all of them.

Humans aren't aware of these races they share the land with.
Lycans and Vampires are only myths! Surely they can't be real!

But no matter what the humans think, disappearances are constantly occurring within this small town humbly named Hyacinth.
No one knows why.
At least, the humans don't.

Lycans despise the Vampires.
Vampires despise the Lycans.
It's a constant war for territory and food supply.
And unfortunately, the humans are stuck in the middle.

However,, the aliens were not cooperative, and Lauren helped the Doctor by getting them into their ship, and using the TARDIS to get them away.

"Aack." She moaned. "No chairs - as usual." She grumbled, pulling a chair with a bag on it, and throwing the bag at it's owner.

When Evil Runs Loose
[image]
The Story so far

In the beginning initially with the Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, searching for their father throughout most of season one. Once they found him, the show became about killing Azazel, the yellow-eyed demon responsible for the death of their mother 23 years earlier. Azazel also imbued Sam with special, demonic abilities, which Dean forbids him from using. Azazel's death is accomplished at the end of season 2, but not until after his plans are completed and a door to Hell is briefly opened, releasing a horde of demons into the world. This event also sees the death of Sam, who is quickly resurrected thanks to Dean selling his soul to a demon. In the third season, the plot of the show focuses on trying to save Dean from his deal, which comes due in one year. Along the way, they meet a demon named Ruby, who has a mysterious interest in Sam and claims to be able to help save Dean. They also meet Bela Talbot, an "acquirer" and seller of occult objects who is constantly causing them trouble. The brothers eventually manage to track down the demon who holds Dean's contract, a powerhouse named Lilith who also wants Sam dead. However, Sam and Ruby ultimately fail to save Dean, who is killed and sent to Hell. Season four begins with Dean miraculously returning from Hell after four months there, awakening dazed and confused in his grave. He was apparently rescued by Castiel, a being who claims to be an angel on a mission from God. While Dean was in Hell, Sam further developed his supernatural abilities with the help of Ruby. It is soon revealed that Dean was revived to help stop Lilith's plan of breaking "the 66 seals," which would let Lucifer walk free once again and bring on the Apocalypse.

From here on out:

The Seals are being broken at an alarming rate, and Sam and Dean, with the help of John (who is still alive) and Bobby must follow Castiel's orders and stop Lilith at any cost. Will they manage to stop the Apocalypse? Only time will tell. Though with Sam secretly using his demonic powers and Ruby hiding in the shadows the odds appear to be against the brothers.

Castiel has warned Dean that if Sam continues to use his powers the angels will have to stop him before he loses himself completely. But will Sam heed their warning or ignore it, what is to become of him? Human, Demon, good, evil? Which will he end up as.

Miss Krista's School for the Medically Undefined

Medically Undefined means a monster.

[image] [image]

As humans take greater control of the world, monsters have no choice but to blend in with human's society. Monsters have learned to appear in human forms but can easily change back to their monster forms. However, if humans were to know about Halloworld, the last fully monster society or even about the fact that monsters exist, the entire monster world would be executed.

[image] [image]

Miss Krista decided to form a school to teach young monsters how to blend into human society. Some students come from human schools, others from secret schools specifically for their type, others still lived in the woods away from humans entirely. However, all of them come to this school for four years with the common hope of learning how to control themselves enough to successfully live in the human world.

[image] [image]

Taking classes normal human classes such as math and english, students also learn how to disguise themselves well in human society. There is only one major rule in this school, don't reveal your true identity. Of course, many students do reveal their true identities and powers, causing chaos in the school. Any human caught trespassing on the property, if they can even find their way to get there past all the barriers created, will be killed.

Join in on the secret!

StarClan is being challenged, but this is no invisible threat lurking around the forest of the living. No, these cats have lived their lives, but have died. However, these were not vats ever destined to walk the skies of StarClan, but rather were sent to the Dark Forest. Some of these cats came together for meetings and discussed ways to get back at StarClan for foiling their plans, all in different ways. Their idea? To turn the Clans against them and keep them out of the skies for good! So, they marched off as DarkClan and challenged StarClan. As the appeared to the other ancestor Clan, they did something that only DarkClan would know. The killed a StarClan cat. Now, as StarClan realized, if they die now when they are only spirits, they will disappear forever, never to be seen again.

DarkClan are stopping at nothing to get revenge on StarClan. But this intrusion is more than just for revenge, they want a new way of life to start up in the forest, under what they call, "Code of the Dark." This code as already been adopted by RiskClan and HazardClan, who after seeing DarkClan at a Gathering, decided to join under their reign. The code is dark, sinister, and brings a new meaning of life just as DarkClan wanted it. But it also brings a message of strength as those who join under it are combined into one, but separate Clans. DarkClan is looked at as a new start for greatness to these two Clans, and they will never allow ChanceClan and PerilClan stay alive as long as they believe in StarClan.

As StarClan realized what could happen to them if they were to die, they decided they would have to become a true Clan as DarkClan appeared to be. DarkClan knew what would happen when a cat died in the skies, and wanted to scare the StarClan cats with the news. DarkClan had come to the skies with a leader, deputy, medicine cat, apprentices, warriors, all formed just like a Clan below and StarClan decided they had to too. However, they did not drive the dark cats out of their skies neither did they try to fight them off. They gave in, afraid of death at the moment, and gave half the skies to DarkClan. Now, they border their patrols as they had when they lived and soon, they'll have to fight...to keep their honor and Clans.

Never before has it been realized, what happens when two cats die and join StarClan or DarkClan and fall in love at that time. Well, it is about to happen and get only more complicated. As tensions rise in the four Clans on the earth and the two biggest battles this forest has ever seen approaches all the more quicker, two cats of StarClan and two cats of DarkClan fall in love for the first time. Though, as said, that is not the worst part. What happens if they have kits? They are about to find out. Four kits will be born from these spirit cats, but they will not be born as spirits, rather they will be born on in the forest, one in each territory. The weird thing is, none of these cats are able to be contacted by any of the ancestor cats and so they are in the dark, about who their parents are. Once they become warriors, a death of one will cause the tensions between two enemy Clans to rise and the great battle will become all the more closer.

//The Basics//

Name: Jenny, named by Donna Noble.

Nickname: Just Jenny, though occasionally Jen.

Age (Or Appeared Age): Appears Nineteen.

Gender: Female.

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual.

Species: Well, it's stated as time lord/time lady. (: But if that's a problem, obviously I don't mind changing it.

//The Looks//

Height: Five ft. two

Weight: 120.

Hair Color: Light blonde.

Eye Color: Very light blue.

Description: Jenny is fairly petite, but looks about right for her age. She has shoulder length blonde hair, which is usually straight and tied in a loose ponytail. It's rarely ever left down or accessorised. Her clothes are fairly casual, including a simple top and jeans or plain trousers.

//The Inside Stuff//

Personality: Before she met the Doctor, Jenny, though not named so at the time, was a rather unlikeable person who wasn't exactly welcoming towards others. She likes things to be organized and prefers it when everything is going smoothly rather than being unplanned and messy. When situations are not like this, her short temper kicks in and she becomes irritable and argumentitive.

However, upon meeting the Doctor, Donna and others who introduced her to her new life so to speak, Jenny became more understanding and in turn a more likeable person. She learns to use her short temper and fighting in a more appropriate way, and also becomes a little more like the Doctor himself.

Likes:
x Having the freedom to do as she pleases.
x Her 'new life'.
x The Doctor, and Donna.
x Exploring new things.
x Reading books.
x Good conversations.
x Positive thoughts.
x Memories (Or good ones at least.)
x Travelling.
x Learning new things.

Dislikes:
x Her old life.
x Bad memories.
x What she used to be like.
x Being alone for to long.
x Not seeing some of her old 'friends', or companions.
x Anything negative.

Strengths:
x Jenny was born to be a fighter, and now that she has learnt to control herself and only use her skills when neccessary, she has become even better when it comes to defending herself and any other.

x Honesty. Jenny dislikes people who lie to her, and in turn tries her hardest to tell the truth at all times, which she usually manages.

x Thinking of the Doctor is a strength for her, as he keeps her going almost.

x Thinking on her feet.

Weaknesses:
x Bad memories always have the ability to bring her down.

x Being by herself for too long. Although she can manage slowly increasing amounts of time, she still doesn't like being by herself for extremely long periods.

//The Past and Present//

Home Planet: Messaline

History: (This history is copied from the Wikipedia as permitted, but it's only written since we were introduced to the character herself ><)

A short war waged on the planet Messaline between Humans and Hath. The Humans and Hath used progenation machines to instantly create mentally programmed young adults from DNA of a single parent. When the Doctor (with Donna and Martha) arrived on Messaline, he had Jenny made from him against his will from a skin sample just prior to an ambush by Hath.

The then-nameless Jenny pushed a button which triggered an explosion, causing the collapse of the tunnel that cut the group off from the Hath and from Martha. Shortly after, Jenny, was named by the Doctor's companion Donna Noble from the Doctor's original description of her as a 'generated anomaly'.

Jenny's commander, Cobb, had Jenny locked up with the Doctor and Donna. While in this cell, Donna proved to the Doctor that Jenny was indeed his daughter; she listened to Jenny's heartbeat and found that, like the Doctor, she had two hearts. Jenny helped the others by kissing Cline and then taking his pistol. The Doctor found his daughter very capable though inclined towards violence, though convinced her not to kill Cobb when she had the chance.

As the three of them made their way towards the Source, which Cobb and the Hath both sought, Jenny spoke with the Doctor about the possibility of traveling with him, and he told her that he would never leave her. The Doctor told the respective parties to end the war, whereupon General Cobb aimed his gun and shot at him. Jenny here showed her compassion by standing in the way of the bullet. She was shot through one of her hearts, and died, but did not regenerate.

While laying in state, however, Jenny returned to life, stole a shuttlecraft, and left Messaline, determined to save other worlds and to do "an awful lot of running" like her father

//The Others//

Your Name: Tizzy.

RP Sample: From a Harry Potter site, sorry it's a little long.

It hadn't taken Rita long to realize that there was nothing interesting occurring in the Leaky Cauldron, and had instead apparated into Hogsmeade, hoping that a story lay in wait for her. She'd spent her entire morning sitting in the pub that crossed between the muggle and wizarding worlds, hoping that someone of interest would happen to wander through and she could bag herself a little interview to hand into her boss by the end of the week. Unfortunately, her luck seemed to be running low lately, and the only people passing through the place were those who merely wished to get from a to b, which was quite irritating for the journalist. There had been one point when a hooded wizard stopped in the bar and bought a drink, and Skeeter had expected him to be someone important, instantly offering him a drink if he would give an interview. Turns out he was nothing more than a regular man with a cold. After giving him a mouthful for misleading her, Rita had headed out the back way and decided on wandering around Hogsmeade in search of a new celebrity of sort.

Upon arriving in the little town, the journalist had fixed her glasses and searched the place for the likes of Hogwarts students, hoping they'd supply her with some juicy information that'd grip her readers. However, it then occurred to her that it was merely the middle of the week, and all rule following students would be in their classes rather than wandering the streets. Forcing herself not to give up hope, Rita had then aimlessly walked through the main street, hopefully searching for alumni of the school, or anyone who might bare an intriguing tale to tell. Occasionally, the blonde would recognize someone and scurry to wards them, only to watch as they turned from her in an attempt to avoid questioning. Sighing in annoyance as yet another adult escaped her, she stopped in her tracks and began talking to herself silently. Honestly, It's only a few questions! What's wrong with these fools!" She rolled her eyes and opened up her bag, allowing her quick quotes quill to appear beside her, floating in midair as if it were her companion. Chewing the inside of her lip momentarily, Skeeter decided that it would be best to wait for something to come to her rather than going in search of it, whatever 'it' was. Turning on her heel with a 'humph', Rita headed to wards the Three Broomsticks.

Allowing her faithful Quill to follow her, Rita Skeeter strutted to the empty table near the back of the room, a look of annoyance residing on her face. Taking a seat, she crossed her legs and scanned the room with her dark brown eyes, yet again finding no one of interest around her. Sitting back on the cushioned chair, the blonde adjusted her mauve skirt before crossing her arms over her chest, still looking bothered by the lack of people around. Hearing a click beside her, Rita noticed that her feathered friend had fallen from the air onto the table, most likely from lack of writing. It was most unfortunate, but it appeared as though she was suffering for the lack of stirring news. She was in two minds whether to take her bug form and go in search of private rooms, but decided against it out of sheer laziness. Yes, she wanted a story, but no, she didn't fancy becoming a greasy little bug unless it was completely necessary. Plus, Rita much preferred interrogating her 'victims' by speaking, not eavesdropping. It was definitely more fun.

Yawning softly, the aggravated journalist began to consider where else she might find a story, which lead to her wondering how easily she'd manage to get herself into Hogwarts without being questioned by some idiotic, nosy teacher. Then again, searching inside the school walls would only bring her gossip that included school-girl information, such as who was dating who and whether Myrtle had flooded the bathroom lately. No one wants to read that rubbish. A though of interviewing a ghost occupied her mind for just under seven minutes, but was wiped away as someone began talking to her. Finding it awfully rude, Rita pretended that she couldn't hear, and couldn't care less. It bothered her slightly when people forgot their general manners, especially when they popped out of the blue and spoke to her when she obviously working hard. Her thoughts were important most of the time, and whoever the heck was talking to her now was interrupting her imaginative mind. Then again, could the person bare an interesting tale, and were they already telling her?
